In 1861, a layman named Babu Rajendra Lal Dutta did what the best European doctors could not he cured the illustrious Maharaja Pratap Singh and Pandit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar using nothing but the gentle power of Homeopathy.
He was not a doctor by degree, but a healer by calling. He took the skepticism of the West and turned it into the faith of the East. It was he who converted the great Dr. Mahendra Lal Sircar an Allopath into India’s first scientific Homeopath, laying the foundation for what would become the National Institute of Homoeopathy (NIH).
